Fromagerie Champêtre

La Fromagerie Champêtre was established in 1995 by Luc Livernoche, a former Saputo employee. The building was originally located in Repentigny and produced Cheddar and fresh cheeses. Ripened cheese production began in 2001. The family business was relocated (and expanded) in the Le Gardeur industrial park in 2003.

Today, the creamery processes 11 million litres of milk each year and employs over 40 people. The milk used in its cheese production is supplied by the Fédération des producteurs laitiers du Québec and comes mainly from the Lanaudière region.

In 2017 the company was sold to the Nitrinor cooperative, which kept the plant and team in place in Repentigny.
