Brebichon has a whitish beige wrinkled rind and a cream-coloured creamy interior that is chalky in the centre. It boasts aromas of fresh milk along with lactic, slightly tart flavours and a hint of apple.

Introduced in 2008, the cheese is a play with the words “brebis” (ewe) and “reblochon,” the well-known French cheese. Brebichon is produced in the same type of mould as the famous Savoy cheese. In addition to being apple-washed, processed apple juice is added to the milk during production.

Cheesemaker

The first cheeses made by Les fromages du Verger were introduced in 2008, one year after Brigitte and Michel Guérin acquired an apple orchard on a mountain in St-Joseph-du-Lac.
